Lead Gen Advisory

Most lead gen problems aren't new. I've probably seen yours before.

I'm John, founder of LeadCapture. More than 5 million leads have been captured through funnels built on the platform, across close to a billion impressions, so I've learned a thing or two along the way. This is 1:1 advisory for people in lead gen: agencies, lead sellers, and businesses generating their own. We pick the one thing that is actually holding you back, and work it until it moves.

You know something isn't working. The hard part is knowing which thing.

Most people come in with one of these.

Traffic is fine and leads are not.

The ads are getting clicks and not many people finish the form. You have rewritten the page a few times and it has not moved much.

Leads come in, but the quality isn't great.

Volume looks acceptable. Your buyers or your sales team keep telling you the leads are not what they need, and the pattern is hard to see from the inside.

You're struggling to find the right vertical and offer.

You have tried a few and none of them stuck. It is hard to tell whether the vertical was wrong or it never really got a fair test.

You're not sure you're capturing leads compliantly.

Consent language, TCPA, and certification all move, and the cost of getting it wrong lands long after the lead was captured.

You want to optimize the funnel and are not sure what to test.

You have plenty of ideas. What is missing is a testing process that tells you which ones actually worked and which ones were noise.

You want to put AI to work and do not know where to start.

AI is genuinely useful in a lead gen operation now. The hard part is knowing where it saves you real time and where it is a distraction.

You have funnels live and are not certain they are delivering.

Nobody has checked recently whether every integration is actually posting where it should be.

You are an agency and a client is asking why the leads are not closing.

That is the conversation worth getting ahead of, because it is usually the one that ends retainers.

Start where the problem is.

Advisory Call

$550 · 60 minutes

One call. You bring a problem, we work it live. No prep, no deliverable, no commitment. Good when you have one specific decision in front of you and you want a second opinion from someone who has seen it go both ways.

Advisory Audit

$1,000 · delivered in 1 to 2 weeks

You complete an intake questionnaire and I review your data and your responses. You get back a written analysis of where your lead funnel is losing money, with a prioritized action plan you can run yourself or hand to your team. Includes a 30-minute walkthrough.

Covers current state and unit economics, traffic to offer alignment, funnel structure and drop-off, lead quality, compliance exposure in your vertical, and distribution.

Start With The Audit

Advisory Term

$1,250/month · 90 days · Audit included

Six working sessions across 90 days, aimed at one goal. The Term opens with the Audit, so session one starts from a diagnosis instead of a discovery conversation.

Between sessions you get a dedicated Slack channel, a live working doc, a shared metrics sheet, and the prompt templates for running your funnel operations through Claude.

Apply For A Term

Most people start with the Audit. It tells both of us whether a Term is worth it, and if you go on to book one, the Audit is included rather than charged twice. You do not need to be a LeadCapture customer for a Call or an Audit.

Where I can help, and where I can't.

Better to know the limits now than on the first call.

What I know well

  • Funnel structure, question order, step sequencing, what to ask and when
  • Why people leave at a specific step, and what to change
  • Lead quality: verification, enrichment, and scoring at the point of capture
  • Why leads get rejected, read off actual rejection reasons rather than theory
  • Distribution stacks: LeadProsper, LeadByte, LeadsPedia, boberdoo, Phonexa. Field mapping, posting, ping-post, silent failures
  • Compliance failure modes as they happen in production
  • Where AI fits into a lead gen operation, and where it does not
  • What to test next, and how long to leave it running

What I don't do

  • Buying and scaling media. That is a whole different service
  • Creative production
  • Channel selection and budget allocation
  • Arbitrage and unit-economics modelling

If what you need is on the right, say so and I will point you at someone who does it full time. That referral costs you nothing, and it is a better outcome than a Term aimed at the wrong problem.

One goal, ninety days, then we both decide again.

The failure mode in advisory work is drift. Without a goal set at the start, every session becomes whatever is bothering you that morning, and three months later you have talked about everything and changed nothing.

So a Term is aimed at one outcome, named in the first session and written at the top of the working doc. Everything after it is sequenced against that one thing.

At ninety days it ends. If it worked and you want to take on the next thing, we start a new Term on a new goal. If you have what you need, it just ends. Nobody has to have a conversation about getting out of it.

What's included

  • The Advisory Audit as the kickoff
  • Six working sessions across 90 days
  • A dedicated Slack channel, answered within one business day
  • A live working doc: the goal, decisions, open actions, next agenda
  • A shared metrics sheet built for lead gen, not generic marketing
  • Prompt and workflow templates for running your account through Claude

What's not

  • Done-for-you work. I will tell you what to change and work through it with you, but I will not build it for you
  • Media buying, creative, channel selection, arbitrage modelling, SEO
  • Product support, which stays free and separate. Never spend Term time on something support can answer

I run four Terms at a time. When they are full, the Call and the Audit are still available.

What a Term can focus on.

Every Term is aimed at one of these. There is usually an order to it, and working out of order is where a lot of time and budget quietly goes. The Audit is what tells us which one you are actually on.

FocusThe goal of that Term
FoundationGetting the fundamentals right: a vertical and offer you are committed to, a funnel live, and buyers taking the leads
ConversionClosing the gap between what your ad promises and what your first screen delivers. Question order, step sequencing, and where people drop off
QualityVerification, contact scoring, enrichment, and the reasons leads come back rejected
ComplianceCapturing consent properly for your vertical: TCPA, certification, and the failure modes that only show up in production
AIWhere AI makes a lead gen operation meaningfully more efficient, and how to run your account through it without creating new problems
Contact RatesWhat happens after the submit: delivery, speed to lead, follow-up, and thank-you page strategy

Most people come in wanting to work on the last two. More often than not, the money is sitting in the first three.

Frequently asked questions

Do you do the work for me?

No. I'll tell you what to change and work through it with you, but I won't build your funnels, write your ads, or run your campaigns. If that is what you need, you want an agency, and I am happy to point you at one.

Do I need to be a LeadCapture customer?

No. Calls and Audits work regardless of what you are using today. For a Term, being on LeadCapture helps because I can see the account directly and move faster, but it is not a requirement.

You sell software. Isn't this just a sales pitch?

I sell LeadCapture, so if I point you at something we happen to sell, I will say so out loud. Most of what comes out of an Audit is not a product recommendation, it is a list of things in your funnel that are costing you leads.

What if I want to cancel a Term?

It is a ninety-day commitment and I bill monthly in advance. If it is not working, tell me at any point and we will fix the goal or stop. I would rather refund a month than hold someone to a Term that is not helping.

How fast can we start?

Calls usually within a week. Audits take one to two weeks from the day you return the questionnaire. Terms start when a slot opens, and I run four at a time.

Can you help with my Meta or Google ads?

Not the buying side. I can help with why the traffic you are already paying for is not converting once it lands, which is usually the more expensive problem.

Tell me what you're working on.

One paragraph is enough. What you are running, what is not working, and what you have already tried. I will tell you which of the three makes sense, or that none of them do.
