Introducing LeadProof: Cryptographic Lead Integrity, Built Into LeadCapture

LeadProof creates tamper-proof integrity records for every lead using cryptographic hashing and a tamper-evident Integrity Ledger. Learn how it works alongside TrustedForm, strengthens compliance, and builds trust between lead sellers, buyers, and clients.

Every lead transaction involves trust. The seller says the lead is real. The buyer hopes the data is accurate. The compliance team needs proof that consent was captured.

Today, we're introducing LeadProof — LeadCapture's built-in trust layer that creates a cryptographic, tamper-proof record of every lead at the moment of capture.

What LeadProof Does

When a lead is submitted through LeadCapture, LeadProof generates a SHA-256 integrity hash of the entire lead record — including form data, email and phone verification status, TCPA consent text, TrustedForm certificates, Jornaya tokens, and IP address.

This hash is sealed in the Integrity Ledger — a tamper-evident chain where each proof links cryptographically to the one before it. No personally identifiable information is exposed — only a mathematical proof that the data exists and is intact.

The result: an independent, verifiable record that the lead data hasn't been modified after capture.

How It Works

Every webhook delivery now includes a lead_proof object:

{
  "lead_proof": {
    "integrity_hash": "a3f8c2...9d4b2d",
    "proof_url": "https://my.leadcapture.io/verify/abc-123",
    "verification_key": "f7a2b9c4e1d8...",
    "status": "confirmed"
  }
}

Buyers and clients can click the proof URL to see the proof status, compliance trail, and integrity verification. With the verification key, they can unlock the full lead record — contact info, form responses, consent text, and all compliance certificates.

Who Benefits from LeadProof

For Lead Sellers

Lead disputes are expensive. A buyer says the lead is fake. You say it's not. Without independent proof, it's your word against theirs.

With LeadProof, you share a proof URL. The cryptographic hash proves the data hasn't changed since capture. Disputes become resolvable in seconds, not days.

LeadProof also lets you command higher prices. Leads backed by verifiable proof are worth more than leads that require blind trust.

For In-House Lead Generation Teams

If you generate leads in-house for insurance, mortgage, legal, or financial services, you face regulatory scrutiny that third-party sellers don't. Compliance teams, legal departments, and regulators can all question how a lead was captured and whether consent was properly obtained.

LeadProof gives you a permanent audit trail for every lead — timestamped, tamper-proof, and independently verifiable. It's not just a checkbox. It's defensible evidence under scrutiny.

For Lead Buyers and Clients

Trust shouldn't be optional. When you're paying for leads — or receiving them from an internal team — you want confidence that the data is authentic, the verification actually happened, and nothing was changed between capture and delivery.

LeadProof lets you verify before you act. Click the proof URL, enter the verification key, and see exactly what was captured: contact info, form responses, consent text, verification status, and compliance certificates. Cryptographic proof, not a seller's claim.

How LeadProof Compares to TrustedForm and Other Tools

TrustedForm is the industry-standard proof of consent — and for good reason. It captures the consent event and generates a certificate tied to the form interaction. Buyers already recognize and trust it.

LeadProof isn't designed to replace TrustedForm. It's designed to work alongside it — and to cover what consent certificates don't.

Where LeadProof takes a different approach

Most compliance tools focus on a single moment: the consent event. LeadProof focuses on the entire lead record. It seals the full submission — form data, verification status, consent records, compliance certificates, IP address, and timestamps — into a single cryptographic proof.

That means you're not just proving consent happened. You're proving the complete lead payload you delivered is authentic and untampered.

Here's a practical example: a buyer receives a lead and claims the phone number wasn't verified, or the form data was changed before delivery. TrustedForm can prove consent was captured — but it doesn't cover what happened to the lead data itself. LeadProof does. The integrity hash proves the exact record that was captured, including verification status, at the moment of submission.

Multi-hash verification

LeadProof doesn't just hash the lead record once. It uses a multi-layer hashing approach:

  1. Field Data Hash — every form field value is independently hashed into a deterministic SHA-256 hash, so the integrity of form responses can be verified separately from the compliance metadata
  2. Integrity Hash — the full proof payload (verification status, consent data, compliance certificates, field data hash, timestamps) is hashed into a single SHA-256 integrity hash
  3. Hash Chain — each proof links to the previous proof for the same account via prevHash, forming a tamper-evident ledger. If any proof in the chain is modified, every subsequent link breaks

This layered approach means buyers and auditors can verify at multiple levels: the individual form data, the full compliance record, and the integrity of the ledger itself.

They work together

TrustedForm captures the consent moment. LeadProof seals the entire lead record — including the TrustedForm certificate URL — into a tamper-proof hash. Together, they cover both the consent event and the data that was actually captured and delivered.

Included Free on All Paid Plans

LeadProof is not an add-on or premium feature. It's included free on every paid LeadCapture plan:

  • Starter: 1,000 proofs/month
  • Growth: 10,000 proofs/month
  • Max: 50,000 proofs/month

Proof credits match your lead volume — one proof per lead, no extra cost. Enable it in one click from the LeadProof dashboard.

Getting Started

If you're already on a paid LeadCapture plan:

  1. Go to the LeadProof page in your dashboard
  2. Toggle LeadProof on
  3. Every new lead will automatically include a cryptographic integrity proof

Your webhook payloads will include the proof URL and verification key. Your buyers and clients can start verifying leads immediately.
