Introducing LeadProof: The Blockchain-Powered Trust Layer Behind Every Lead

LeadProof creates tamper-proof integrity records for every lead using zero-knowledge blockchain technology. Learn how it complements TrustedForm, strengthens compliance, and builds trust between lead sellers, buyers, and clients.

Every lead transaction involves trust. The seller says the lead is real. The buyer hopes the data is accurate. The compliance team needs proof that consent was captured.

Today, we're introducing LeadProof — LeadCapture's built-in trust layer that creates a cryptographic, tamper-proof record of every lead at the moment of capture.

What LeadProof Does

When a lead is submitted through LeadCapture, LeadProof generates a SHA-256 integrity hash of the entire lead record — including form data, email and phone verification status, TCPA consent text, TrustedForm certificates, Jornaya tokens, and IP address.

This hash is anchored on the Midnight blockchain network using zero-knowledge cryptography. No personally identifiable information goes on-chain — only a mathematical proof that the data exists and is intact.

The result: an independent, verifiable record that the lead data hasn't been modified after capture.

How It Works

Every webhook delivery now includes a lead_proof object:

{
  "lead_proof": {
    "integrity_hash": "a3f8c2...9d4b2d",
    "proof_url": "https://my.leadcapture.io/verify/abc-123",
    "verification_key": "f7a2b9c4e1d8...",
    "status": "confirmed"
  }
}

Buyers and clients can click the proof URL to see the proof status, compliance trail, and blockchain confirmation. With the verification key, they can unlock the full lead record — contact info, form responses, consent text, and all compliance certificates.

Who Benefits from LeadProof

For Lead Sellers

Lead disputes are expensive. A buyer says the lead is fake. You say it's not. Without independent proof, it's your word against theirs.

With LeadProof, you share a proof URL. The cryptographic hash proves the data hasn't changed since capture. Disputes become resolvable in seconds, not days.

LeadProof also lets you command higher prices. Leads backed by verifiable proof are worth more than leads that require blind trust.

For In-House Lead Generation Teams

If you generate leads in-house for insurance, mortgage, legal, or financial services, you face regulatory scrutiny that third-party sellers don't. Compliance teams, legal departments, and regulators can all question how a lead was captured and whether consent was properly obtained.

LeadProof gives you an immutable audit trail for every lead — timestamped, tamper-proof, and independently verifiable. It's not just a checkbox. It's defensible evidence under scrutiny.

For Lead Buyers and Clients

Trust shouldn't be optional. When you're paying for leads — or receiving them from an internal team — you want confidence that the data is authentic, the verification actually happened, and nothing was changed between capture and delivery.

LeadProof lets you verify before you act. Click the proof URL, enter the verification key, and see exactly what was captured: contact info, form responses, consent text, verification status, and compliance certificates. Cryptographic proof, not a seller's claim.

LeadProof Is Not a Replacement for TrustedForm

This is important to get right.

TrustedForm and LeadProof solve related but different problems. They're complementary, not competitive.

What TrustedForm Does Best

TrustedForm is purpose-built for documenting the consent event. It captures the session, records the page state, and generates a certificate tied to the form interaction. It's the standard for TCPA-focused workflows, and buyers already recognize and trust it.

TrustedForm is stronger around:

  • Documenting the consent event itself
  • Page and session capture at the moment of consent
  • Certificate-style evidence tied to the form interaction
  • TCPA-focused workflows that buyers already recognize

What LeadProof Does Best

LeadProof operates at a different layer. Instead of proving that consent happened, it proves that the lead record you delivered is authentic and untampered.

LeadProof is stronger around:

  • Proving the lead record existed at a specific time
  • Proving the record was not altered after capture
  • Proving verification and enrichment status tied to that record
  • Creating a trust layer for the full lead payload, not just the consent moment

The Right Way to Think About It

TrustedForm helps prove consent happened. LeadProof helps prove the lead record you delivered is authentic and untampered.

They work together. TrustedForm captures the consent moment. LeadProof seals the entire lead record — including the TrustedForm certificate URL — into a tamper-proof hash.

We'd never say LeadProof is "better than" or "replaces" TrustedForm. The accurate positioning is:

  • LeadProof works alongside consent tools like TrustedForm
  • LeadProof extends trust beyond consent to the full lead record
  • LeadProof adds tamper-evident proof for what was actually captured and delivered

How LeadProof Is Built

LeadProof uses the Midnight network — a privacy-focused blockchain from the Cardano ecosystem designed for zero-knowledge applications.

Zero-knowledge proofs allow LeadProof to verify data integrity without revealing the data itself. The blockchain provides immutability — once a proof is anchored, it can't be altered or deleted by anyone, including LeadCapture.

This means the proof is genuinely independent. It's not just our database saying the data is intact. It's a cryptographic record on a public blockchain that anyone can verify.

Included Free on All Paid Plans

LeadProof is not an add-on or premium feature. It's included free on every paid LeadCapture plan:

  • Starter: 1,000 proofs/month
  • Growth: 10,000 proofs/month
  • Max: 50,000 proofs/month

Proof credits match your lead volume — one proof per lead, no extra cost. Enable it in one click from the LeadProof dashboard.

Getting Started

If you're already on a paid LeadCapture plan:

  1. Go to the LeadProof page in your dashboard
  2. Toggle LeadProof on
  3. Every new lead will automatically include a blockchain-backed integrity proof

Your webhook payloads will include the proof URL and verification key. Your buyers and clients can start verifying leads immediately.

LeadProof is LeadCapture's built-in trust layer. It doesn't replace your existing compliance tools — it makes them stronger by sealing everything into a single, verifiable record that no one can alter after the fact.
